Your future duties and responsibilities

This role will see you work within the software development area of the Horizontal Delivery Centre that delivers into a diverse of programmes of work for our private and public sector clients.

As a software developer with us you will undertake development activities in TDD, BDD and Scrum or other Agile practices. You will be responsible for coding, building, testing and maintenance of software systems and subject to experience coaching other more junior developers.

• Design and develop software in line with quality standards
• Produce and execute unit tests
• Identify and fix bugs in software
• Independently solve problems
• Describe, in written & verbal form, the root cause of issues
• Adhere to change control procedures and processes
• Provide trusted work package estimates
• Involved throughout the software development lifecycle

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

C# will ideally be your strongest asset, with experience of a mixture of additional languages and technologies an important requirement of the role.

You will be passionate about User Experience and will be responsible for hands on creation of UX artefacts across their digital offering. You'll also be translating business and user requirements into engaging and innovative interactive journeys across various digital channels.

Role requirements:

Quality hands-on UX Design experience and a portfolio to demonstrate Experience of working to Agile methodology and in sprint cycles You will have experience working in a digital corporate environment or digital agency and have experience working with cross functional business teams Strong team and collaborative focus to your ways of working You must have outstanding communication skills. Alongside front and back-end development, technical business requirements, creating user stories and client-facing experience is also highly desirable.
